Earthquake

As it should be known on 27 February last year, 2010, a high intensity earthquake occurred off the coast of the Pacific, specifically in Chile, my native country.


More striking even than the phenomenon itself, were the reactions that people around me took, and the disorder of priorities. By that i mean that the impression that the act caused me, to prioritize their property that to their own lives, risking even more devastating consequences for their safety.
During the earthquake, i saw many people running out of their houses, but i found out that many people instead go out, stayed to protect their televisions and computers, regardless of the consequences and the risk that such activity brings.


One tends to think that at-risk people should change for the good of all or even activate their most hidden survival instincts, but apparently in most cases, the greed, consumerism, and materialism can be more.
To relax a little the atmosphere, creating the need to know that happened, the closest, dearest people, family, friends etc. And in a second what happened to the whole country and the magnitude of the disaster. Thus collapsed the few telephone lines that were functional after the quake, since most of the media a long time remained dysfunctional. So the story takes more than a few hours, for those who have not had theopportunity to tune in radio stations in Argentina, with a portable radio with batteries or the car.
Personally lived the phenomenon from the capital, but as I am on the central coast, much of my family, out of facing the earthquake, had to take precautions, people of the coastand usually take in case of tsunami, must we know that was the case.

Product that people undertook a journey to the heights, and as my house is among thehighest locations, and in my family we are fortunate to meet many people, my father opened its doors and, according to the story, people nearby, which was no a little, met around a campfire in my backyard, where they faced the tragedy in the community.
